One Source Laser Tag's News Source for the Laser Tag World in General

18 AUG 05Semi-Weekly Update
Wassup!
SALUTATIONS everyone! The biggest tag event that you'd have to be living Its been another crazy week.....but the ezine is coming along nicely! I think this is going to be the best ezine we have released yet (not too big of an accomplishment as we have only done 2). If you are an avid reader of this news service, then a lot of the articles are just repeats........but there are a few new articles that haven't been seen before. I've asked everyone to have everything turned in by this weekend. I plan on spending all Sunday getting the ezine ready to publish on Monday morning. I will release the ezine to those signed up for this news service hopefully on Monday...so that I can get feedback on all my mis-spellings and grammatical doeths before I publish the newsletter on the website, the following Monday.

If you've been living on a deserted Island and haven't heard...there is a new LTTO gun about to hit the market called the TMB. If you want a good review of the gun, and want to see some video footage....Flux has some great material on his website: http://www.ggaub.com/ltag/index.htm

To see the use and viedo: Under Community, click on Game Storiez, and then click on Game on August 13th - Pictures and video.

To see a mini review: Under Hardware click on Equipment, then scroll down till you see the Tag Master-Blaster..

Hmmmmmmm......and greg says things are hard to find on my site - lol....have quantity of info...have fun finding things! Anyway...thanks for the work to get the great pictures and information Greg - Your site is a major asset to the tagging community!

Tag Sport Classifieds Spotlight

Just in time for the end of this Hot Summer, this nice lil-gun (grin) was donnated to us by Tag Ferret to help fund the TagFest event.

The can is there to give you an idea of the size of this thing! Although if you are insane and need to Do the DEW, I'd be more than happy to tack on an additional $1.00 to the cost and ship it to you. However, it would be alot easier to just buy one at a local store!

If you'd like to put a bid in on this baby...email me at droman@efn.org.

If you have an item that you believe people are looking for that you have posted in the Tag Sport Classifieds, notify me and I will put them in this spot on the weekly newsletter. Once again the contact email is droman@1SourceLaserTag.com

A note to everyone...this location is also now up for sale....if you'd like to have something placed here on our semi-weekly newsletters...please send and email to LaserHorizon@1SourceLaserTag.com

Finally, if anyone would like to get in and help on putting this newsletter together each week, or would like to contribute any material...announcements..flyers...links...or any other kind of info..please email us at LaserHorizon@1SourceLaserTag.com !

Chat Sessions
There will be a normal www.1SLT.com chat session tonight starting at around 4:30 going till around 8:30 (pm, Pacific Coast Time)........come join in! Tonigh'ts topic will be to brainstorm on coming up with what people would like to see in these newsletters.....as well as the Laser Horizon Ezine... and ways to make the service better using newer technologies out there.

Don't forget our Buds on the other side of the big Pond........Dropzone Chat Session!

Date: Thursday, August 18, 2005
Time: 9:00PM - 11:00PM BST (GMT+01:00)

Chatroom discussion re Dropzone and related topics:
http://www.dropzoneonline.org/

This comes out to be about 1:00pm on the U.S. West Coast.......PST, so drop in on your lunch breaks...you just might catch some U.K. chat action ......
Competitions Going On
- Tag Sport Classifieds - We will be giving away a brand new LTTO Tag Master-Blaster on the 1st of October! If you would like to get a shot at winning it, simply put an ad up on www.1SLT.com's Tag Sports Classifieds. Its easy to do...and you be surprised - things actually do sell from there! At the end of September, a single ticket will be placed in a bowl for each ad posted between now and then (no my ads don't count). A single ticket will be pulled, and that will be the winner of the competition.

- Laser Horizon Comics Section - Have a funny tag related story to tell?, or a joke you've come up with? Or maybe you like to sketch Tag related cartoons? Well here is your chance to gain from it! Simply email your funny bit to LaserHorizon@1SourceLaserTag.com and it will be used in one of our EZINE's. A pole will be posted for the joke submittal, and the top three winners of the voting pole will have a choice of a free rental from 1SLT, or a purchase coupon worth $20.00 of merchandise from our catalogs (which are about to be filled with all kinds of stuff!). Note: Rentals only available here in the U.S. - does not include shipping costs.

-Tag Spirit Competition - Currently this is a competition for the clubs here in the U.S.: The purpose of this competition is to encourage clubs to utilize the Tag Sport Calendar available on www.1SLT.com. Every quarter we go through the calendar and give points to clubs that have posted their events on the calendar, extra points are gained if pictures of the event along with a review is posted on either the Tactical Action Game, or 1SLT's Message Board. The prize given away to the club winning changes from quarter to quarter and ranges in value from $20 - $80!

....AND THE WINNER OF THE 2005 2nd Quarter Tag Spirit Competition is! ........(drum roll)....(God knows everyone has waited long enough to find out who the winner is).......(after all the quarter ended in June for goodness sake).....(okay okay...I'll stop stalling!).....The INDY LASER TAG CLUB! (....and there was much rejoicing............."...yeah" ) The choice of prizes is as follows: 24 camo-bandannas (club pics up to 3 different patterns), or A pile of ultra-bright glow-sticks (no nite games now.....yeah right!), or a package of 30 rechargable alkaline batteries, or a $30 coupon for your favorite Pizza Parlor!
